Based on the project of multi-sensor battlefield awareness system of a vehicle and detailed analysis of the development of the CCD image acquisition and processing technology home and abroad, this paper mainly studies how to acquire and process the CCD image and designs a system which can acquire CCD image and fuse the CCD image with IR image.Firstly, it analyzes the general situation of the system of a vehicle and the design aim of the CCD image acquisition card, and formulates the card design in whole on the request of the Front-end performance and the output signal succession of the CCD camera, then it designs and realizes the hardware platform and the device driver program of the card, and mainly resolves how to realize the CPCI interface based on PCI IPcore and the implement of the camera link protocol, which meets the request of the card design and the CCD image acquisition.Secondly, under the design requirements of the CCD image processing card and interface, this paper designs and realizes the hardware platform of the card. Then it mainly resolves the realization of ADSP TS-101 hign-speed DSP and the method of image noise reduction on the purposes of card design and CCD image processing.Finally, as to the requirements on the application of the multi-sensor battlefield awareness system of a vehicle, the key study is about the fusion of CCD image and IR image. On analysis of the image fusion method on pixel level, based on contrast pyramid method and wavlate transform method, the paper presents a modified weighted averages method. The method overcomes the unstabilities of the contrast pyramid method and the fuzziness of the wavlate transforms method. Then, the paper makes experiments and contrasts on the performance of the modified weighted averages method.
