Research On We Chat Service Status Of University Library In China

Since the launch of WeChat,its active users continue to grow;The emergence of WeChat public platform brings new opportunities for the catering industry,financial industry,wholesale and retail industry,etc.Meanwhile,it also provides convenient services for the government,public institutions and enterprises.Readers of university libraries are better at adapting to new media and accepting new platforms.Therefore,university libraries can take WeChat as a new camp to expand their services.This paper firstly summarizes the concept,content of WeChat public platform,and features,functions and advantages of WeChat service in university libraries,and conducts data statistics on the basic situation of WeChat service of national university libraries.Secondly,the current situation of WeChat service in 35 university libraries in China was investigated,and the latest development of WeChat service in university libraries was summarized.Thirdly,according to the survey,the author points out the problems existing in the current WeChat service of university libraries,including unclear service positioning,imperfect function setting,insufficient initiative in publicity and promotion,insufficient significant effect of tweets,and insufficient innovation in service mode.Finally,the paper puts forward specific and reasonable development suggestions from five aspects: attaching importance to standard construction,clarifying service functions;integrating menu modules,expanding WeChat functions;increasing publicity,innovating promotion methods;improving message quality,strengthening content management;enhancing service awareness and changing working methods.This paper aims to improve the service quality of university libraries,give full play to the maximum utility of university collection resources,meet the information needs of various users,expand public influence and retain users.
