| Human is still unable to avoid and deal with disasters well until now,and the media plays the role of front-line gatekeeper in disaster news,it is also a reflection of public sentiment after the disaster.Therefore,how to report disaster news better is worthy of discussion and research.Newspaper is an important carrier of mass communication.Even if its glory is fading,its credibility and reliability,and the complete and detailed reports it provides cannot be replaced by other media.Chinese Taiwan newspapers exist in a completely different media environment than mainland newspapers.Affected by political factors,business interests,media habits,newspaper history and other factors,they present a relatively unique disaster news reporting framework.On May 25 th 2002,China Airlines Flight 611 disintegrated over Penghu and crashed,causing all 206 passengers and 19 crew members died.From August 6th to August 10 th 2009,the "August 8 flood" hit Taiwan.As a result,a total of 681 people were killed and 18 were missing.On July19 th 2016,Su Mingcheng,a driver of the tour bus in Taiwan,deliberately drunk and set fire while traveling with a tour group,leaving 24 Liaoning Dalian passengers and one driver from Taiwan and one tour guide from Taiwan died.These three disasters have caused huge loss of life and property,and aroused widespread concern throughout Taiwan and the world.After the disaster,the three representative newspapers in the same media environment in Taiwan,"United Daily News","Liberty Times",and "Apple Daily",presented disaster news in different ways.Causing the attention to the framework of three disaster news reports.Frame theory is one of the more valued theories in the field of journalism and communication.This article only refers to but does not use Tankart 's frame list analysis orientation.Instead,it uses content analysis and frame analysis to target Taiwan 's newspaper.The contents of the news reports of the "China Airlines Penghu Air Accident","August 8 Flood",and "Taoyuan Fire Burning Incident" of " Liberty Times " "United Daily News " and "Apple Daily" were analyzed.Among the three types of disasters,I analyzed "report number","report theme","report genre","reportform","source","report stand","blame object" and "report protagonist" and then summed up the three disaster news reporting frameworks: "United Daily News"-the framework of responsibility combined with the dominant framework of political stance,"Liberty Times"-the framework of conflict combined with the framework of public opinion guidance,"Apple Daily"-shaking framework combines business interests.At the same time,the study found that due to the unique historical background and media environment of the newspaper industry in Chinese Taiwan,and the status in the newspaper industry after its commercialization,Taiwan's "United Daily News","Liberty Times",and "Apple Daily" reported the problems of disastrous use of headlines,view genres,and "negative standpoint" reports when reporting disaster news.Based on this,the author puts forward some inspirations that may be used for disaster news reporting in the mainland press in the future.I hope that the mainland press can circumvent the problems in disaster news reporting in the Chinese Taiwan's newspaper industry,thereby improving the quality of disaster news reporting and making the most of newspapers. |
