| "Taiwan Daily News"(Taiwan Riri Sinpao) (1898-1944) was the longest publicated and the largest circulated newspaper controlled by the Japanese in Taiwan during the Japanese colonial occupation.This thesis will study the news layout of "Taiwan Daily News",mainly use the approach of sampling and text analysing research method,firstly introducing the layouts overview,through the analysis on the reports in the "journal","comment","telegraph",figuring out the features and the essence.Firstly, I unscramble the publishing background of "Tainwan Daily News",divide the 46 years historical transformation into 3 phases, which are intial position period (1898-1918) ,stable development period (1919-1936),and later downfall period (1937-1944) separately,and depict the general situation of all layouts.Secondly,I seclect the paper of the fifth in every month for the samples,focus on the 3 news("journal","comment","telegraph").On the basis of the interpretation about the important news texts (sugar reports on the "journal",Japanese education reports on the "comment",international relation reports on the "telegraph"),the thesis sums up the main several content features respectively.Last but not the least,I analyze the essence of the layout of the news deeply and expound the colonial stand of "Taiwan Daily News". "Taiwan Daily News" not only make clear that it was the official newspaper,but also gave authentic description of each of the colonial rules and regulation.According to the Taiwan social development in Japanese colonization,we will explore that "Taiwan Daily News"was untruthful,un-objective,and one-sided.Eventually,this paper points out that the news layout of "Taiwan Daily News" was a selected record about the Taiwan in the Japanese colonization,a specific selection from specific newspaper men at the specific standpoint,and it was aim to serve the Japanese colonial domination.This research is of positive significance for a comprehensive and correct understanding of appearance and essence of the mass media in Taiwan under the Japanese colonial occupation?... |
