Research On University Library Scientific Research Support Service For Student Users

Scientific research support is the expansion and innovation of university library information service in the new environment,and it is the new mission and development opportunity of university library.Through the practical investigation on the websites of key university libraries in China and the existing research literature,it can be seen that less attention is paid to the needs of student users for scientific research support services,while foreign countries pay more attention to the cultivation of students' scientific research literacy and the needs in the process of scientific research activities and provide relevant services for a long time.In the traditional scientific research activities,the domestic university library always appears as a simple supplier of knowledge resources,so its academic and intellectual work is not recognized by the scientific research users.There is still a lack of practice and summary on how to fulfill their duties and provide research support services throughout the whole process of scientific research activities,starting from the service demand of scientific research users in the scientific research life cycle activities.Based on the above background,this paper chooses the problem of university library scientific research support service for student users.This study first USES the literature study method combing analysis of university library at home and abroad research situation and the existing achievements of research support service,selection and reference for the theoretical framework of this study,research the life cycle theory,put forward the concept of university library research support service and research activities of six phase contains specific service content.Secondly,the research support service demand of domestic student users was investigated by questionnaire.Then,through careful study of previous domestic scholars related literature survey content,combined with the network survey,42 world first-class universities in China construction of colleges and universities and the part of the practice of research university library scientific research support service investigation,especially introduces the part of the university library scientific support services of best practices.Finally,based on the main problems of university library research support service is a scientific research support service program and service agencies set value degree is low,construction is not perfect,the service content and level of shallow,put forward the optimization Suggestions of research support service in our country,namely the clear service guide to meet all levels of students information demand in the life cycle of scientific research,for students with different levels of education to develop targeted and personalized research support services;To increase the publicity,the library website and various emerging media such as WeChat public account and weibo are used to promote the scientific research support services of the library.The optimization of service content runs through the whole process of scientific research activities.On the basis of deepening the traditional scientific research support services,it is necessary to pay attention to the new needs of students and users in the digital scientific research environment,draw on the existing scientific research support services of foreign university libraries,and constantly expand the emerging scientific research support services.
