Research On The Images Of "Three Rural Issue" In CCTV News Link From The National Perspective

Since the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,the party and government has insisting on solving the "three rural issues" as the top priority of the party's work,and has successively launched the strategies of "the construction of beautiful village" and "rural vitalization".CCTV News Link is the mainstream media in China,which is responsible for reporting news facts,transmitting the voice of the party and the nation.The "three rural issues" report of CCTV News Link not only embodies the narrative characteristics of news media,but also implies the national narrative of national consciousness.This paper mainly researched the presented images and narrative strategy of "three rural issue",pointing out the remaining deficiencies and putting forward the improvement strategy,by using the theory of News Narratology and Media Image,content analysis and literature method,taking the reports on "three rural issue" in CCTV News Link as the research objects.It aimed to improve the report on "three rural issue".On the whole,the reports of "three rural issue" in CCTV News Link show the images about the rural areas images with rural public service improvement,rural customs transformation and ecological environment improvement,the agricultural images with industrial structure optimization,production factors improvement and the production and income of grain increase,and the farmers images with subject consciousness enhancing,professional concepts changing and being eager for cultural life.In the content,there are four basic characteristics about "three rural issue" reports in CCTV News Link.First,on the reporting subject,focusing on economic and livelihood,keeping pace with the era development.Second,on the reporting genre,focusing on news flash,setting diverse columns.Third,on the reporting area,large quantities of reports in East and West,with significant regional differences.Fourth,on the reporting tendency,highlighting positive reports,giving consideration to public supervision.The above-mentioned images and content features are closely related to the narrative strategy of CCTV News Link.They are embodied in three levels,microcosmic-middle-macroscopic level.At the microcosmic level,there are mainly embodied in news discourse structure,which is stable textual features and more emphasis on the combination of scenes.At the middle level,there are mainly embodied in the fact construction,which is highlighting poverty alleviation,multiple narrative perspectives and rich narrative modes.At the macroscopic level,there are mainly embodied in the construction of ideology,which communicate mainstream ideology through the strategies of story-typing and character-symbolizing.The shortcomings of the narrative strategy on CCTV News Link mainly lie in the following aspects.Such as no highlighting the dominant position of farmers' discourse,lack of due attention to the new generation of migrant workers,lack of accessibility in reporting,etc.Therefore,this paper puts forward three improvement strategies.First,protecting the main body of farmers,expanding the discourse empowerment.Second,strengthen the report about the new generation of migrant workers,promoting the sustainable development of "three rural issues".Third,changing the way of news narrative.
