Study On Narrative Of TV News Under The Background Of Big Data

The advent of the era of big data has influenced social fields to different levels.For news dissemination domain,the emergence of data journalism provides beneficial thinking for the traditional media news production.Some foreign news media have taken the lead in carrying out data new practice and formed a complete data journalism production mode.In China,new media represented by Netease and traditional media represented by CCTV also began to explore data journalism:during the Spring Festival in 2014,CCTV launched data journalism Spring Festival transportation report,which was driven by large data analysis,and presented the news reports in the form of visualization,and caused the attention and discussion of the academic circles.Based on the narratology perspective and background of the era of big data,the development survey,and narrative characteristics and strategies of data journalism series by CCTV are studied through literature analysis,case study method,and the text analysis method.Through the practice analysis of data journalism series reports,the author finds that data journalism reports from of CCTV have formed a unique report,rich visualization presentation and narrative features.From the perspective of narrative mode,data journalism series reports produce the new role of "data observer"and build rich narrative level by visualization means.Form the narrative perspective,such reports adopt the compound perspective with zero focalization as principal and internal focalization as auxiliary.For narrative strategy,such reports are committed to providing audiences with information class services,make full use of the characteristics of TV media in magnifying image narrative functions,and provide audiences with better visualization works.Through the narrative characteristic analysis and strategy summary of the series reports,the author also finds out the shortcomings in the development of data journalism practice of CCTV.Aiming at the deficiencies,some corresponding optimization paths are provided.The author thinks CCTV should change news production idea,sets up the thinking of big data,establish databases,open data resources actively,attach great importance to the interactive narrative in reporting and develop specialized data journalism talents to complete news work production and design.
