On The News Reports Of Chinese Ethnic Minorities In Central Television Media

With over 9,600,000 square kilometers of land area in our country, We live together with 56 ethnic groups.All ethnic groups equality, unity and common prosperity is the inevitable requirement of building a harmonious socialist society in China.Ethnic culture is an important part of the Chinese nation culture, however, due to reasons such as history, geography and customs, ethnic minority areas economic development level is relatively low. The isolated state national ethnic minority can not convey information to go out, outside excellent information doesn’t come in. Therefore, seriously restricts the development of minority society.The responsibility of the media have reflected social reality, the dissemination of information, especially the central television media has obvious party spirit, of its news reports on ethnic minorities and even influence the decision makers to make ethnic policy, so it should carry the weight of minority cultural transmission.This article selects the program has been premiered more than 30 years,it has the most coverage, the highest ratings and the most influential television news programs ——CCTV NEWS——as the research object. It can be called "label" in the media world. Its development and changes reflects the changes of different stages of policy in our country, reflects the progress of the press theory.The minority news reports frame in CCTV NEWS is a "miniature"of central media. In this paper, the author analysis the minority news reports in the CCTV NEWS from 2005 to 2014 to show " what to say"and" how to say ".In this two aspects, it analyzes the frame of the minority news reports and tries to find out the frame formation reasons and promotion strategy. One of the main goals is "how to report"the minority as the central television media in the future. The other goals is to support more theorists for the study of the ethnic minority journalismThis study is divided into three chapters.First chapter mainly introduce theimportance of the minority news, combing the study about minority journalism, official media and the status quo of CCTV NEWS ethnic issues. To clarify this study the theoretical significance and practical significance of this study, which leads to research train of thought. The second chapter is the key chapter of this article, mainly on the "news broadcast" minority news reports in the media, is divided into "what to say" and "how to say" two big aspects:"what to say" framework including the inner form such as overall trend, theme frame, reported attitude frame, reported national frame and regional frame." How do you say" includes the extrinsic form as the placement, information sources and the ways of represent and so on. Finally, summed up the reports on minority news in CCTV NEWS have a lot of characteristics. Such as to broad in coverage, strong political orientation, give priority to positive coverage and give priority to auditory narrative style characteristics. The third chapter analyzes the frame of CCTV NEWS reported the minority frame is due to the principle of party spirit and brand effect of CCTV; the model of development and audience appeal. These frameworks have resulted in the central television media reported partial and few quantity,and relatively centralized;Unbalanced development,Reported mold and lack of depth, etc. To this, this article put forward to increase reports on ethnic minorities, digging minority new themes, balance negative reports, to speed up the pace of CCTV comprehensive revision, optimizing the mode of transmission as well as to follow the principle of "three close to" news promotion strategy.
