For domestic desktop computer operating systems,power consumption is an important part of it,and energy consumption has become an important indicator for evaluating domestic platform computer products.As the computer platform independently developed by China,Loongson processor has important theoretical and practical significance for the research and implementation of its power consumption management technology.In the thesis,the desktop operating system using the Loongson platform is researched.Due to the features and defects of the Loongson platform,we focuses on the implementation of the power management technology in the operating system,perfecting the power management function,and achieving the purpose of saving power while improving performance.There are three main aspects in our work,including power management during standby,power management during sleep and runtime power management,as follows:According to the different characteristics of Loongson and x86 CPU,the power management process of Loongson during standby is designed.And the functions of CPU auxiliary core hot swap,deep standby and shallow standby are implemented.The purpose of reducing standby power consumption and impoving recovery time is achieved,which enhances the user experience.In addition,the process of power management of hibernation is designed,which implements the function of threads freezing and recovery,equipments hanging and recovery,and system snapshot's storage and recovery.It is proved that the pocess can reduce the power consumption of notebook computer and improve the life of the battery.Furthermore,according to the characteristics of power management during the running of Loongson Platform,the functions of multi-core sheduling,timer subsystem and power management of equipment running are implemented.It can achieve the power dynamical adjust according to the load state of the system in real time,assure the standby and hibernation,and reduce the energy consumption of the whole machine.Based on this,the ACPI architecture power management technology solution is implemented,and the solution is verified by autoplug frequency reduction,standby interface and hibernation interface test.The test results show that the power management of Loongson platform operating system can achieve very low power consumption in the standby state,no power consumption in the hibernation state,and meet the requirements of energy saving.The significance of this thesis is to complete the collaborative design of power management at system and architecture level.It can improve the performance and reduce power consumption at the same time.This research is an important breakthrough and perfection of domestic PC platform.
