A Comparative Study On New Space Service In Chinese And American University Librarise

With the rapid development of information technology,social informatization,networking and digitalization are accelerating,which has profoundly changed people's production and lifestyle.People rely more and more on the Internet to obtain all kinds of information,and college teachers and students also access the library's information resources remotely through the network,which makes the rate of university library arrivals continue to decline.Under this background,domestic and foreign university libraries are actively carrying out service transformation.Attempt to carry out space innovation and reform and develop space services to enhance user stickiness and improve space utilization.University libraries in China and the United States have achieved certain results in the construction of new space services,mainly reflected in the construction and development of learning and research space,maker space,digital humanities space and other aspects.From the perspective of the comparison of new space services between Chinese and American college libraries,this article investigates the study and discussion space,maker space,and digital humanities space of Chinese and American college libraries,respectively,from the perspective of new space service construction,new space service facility resources,new The three dimensions of the space service project are compared and analyzed,summing up the experience and deficiencies in the construction of new spaces in Chinese and American college libraries,and making recommendations for the construction of new space services in Chinese college libraries.The author believes that in the construction of new spaces,one is to build a learning and research space that integrates leisure factors and is oriented to different professions;the other is to select sites according to local conditions and build independent and joint creation of maker space in parallel;the third is to find the correct positioning and strengthen the entity space support to build a digital human space suitable for library positioning.Secondly,in terms of facility resources,the study and discussion space should pay close attention to user needs to form an effective facility resource allocation system;while improving the basic manual facility resource allocation,maker space pays attention to mechanical processing facility resources and intelligence Facility resources;digital humanities space should be combined with the actual situation of the library and the form of participating in the creation of digital humanities to allocate facility resources.Finally,in terms ofspace services,study and discuss space optimization space reservations and other basic services to enrich education and teaching services;Maker space expands Maker service objects and improves the service content for makers;Digital humanities Space provides services based on its actual situation To promote scientific research and academic exchanges.
