A Comparative Study Of Digital Reference Services In Chinese And American University Libraries

The information age,the Internet and modern communication technology is becoming more and more dominant,the construction of digital library is facing severe challenges,networking,digital and wisdom become the main stream of digital library construction.The traditional reference service with a qualitative leap,to carry out the digital reference service is one of the core business of the library.Digital reference service as the most core value of modern library,has significant progress in the service resources,service objects,service mode,etc.Based on the cultural connotation,service idea,legal policy,science and technology level,there is a gap between the Chinese and foreign library reference service.Domestic have been remarkable achievements in a short time,but the United States in the service orientation,service management and service collaborations have great reference value to domestic.In this paper,using literature research method,internet survey method,comparative method,inductive method,based on the university library website,the survey platform,through the comparative study of theory and practice of university library digital reference service,aimed at certain domestic development,draw lessons from the advantage,put forward the enlightenment to our country digital reference service of the university library,improve the overall level of the university library digital reference service in China.Mainly divided into three parts,the first part is the research background,research significance,research status,concepts,such as the theory of discourse;The second part is based on of digital reference service of university library website survey;The third part,according to the results of site investigation,selected indicators for comparative analysis,put forward the enlightenment colleges and universities in digital reference service of library in the United States to China.
