Communication optical transmission products are forced by the ever-increasing pressure of single wavelength transmission rate and system capacity,which requires products to be updated and iterated quickly to meet the needs of market competition.However,in the actual research and development process of Z company's optical transmission products,it often faced many conditions such as milestone delays,low employee efficiency,resource investment and changes in the external environment,which eventually led to the project's research and development cycle exceeding the plan and the sacrifice of product functions and performance.In order to solve the above problems,this thesis combines the related theories,methods and technologies of schedule management,introduces the project schedule management model based on the key chain,and optimizes the research on the schedule management of Z company's optical transmission product R & D project.First of all,the status quo survey of the company Z's optical transmission product market and functions is carried out,and the problems in the progress management are determined through the progress management system and feature analysis,employee questionnaire survey,etc.,so as to optimize content identification and optimization method selection.Then build a project schedule management model based on the key chain,use the three-point estimation method to incorporate the uncertain factors in the project into the construction period estimate,use the double-coded time-scale network diagram to confirm the project's key path and key chain,and set a reasonable and effective buffer District monitoring program.And the application practice was carried out in the ZXONE 8X00 project.The results show that: the project adopting the key chain model optimization method is superior to the previous similar development projects in terms of product development timeliness and functional coverage.The above research can effectively promote Z company to shorten the project R & D cycle,improve the work efficiency of employees,promote the rapid development and listing of optical transmission products,win the time difference,and gain market competitive advantages.It can also provide reference and guidance for the optimization of project schedule management of other communication companies in China.
