With the rapid development of the society and economy,especially the boosting of IT promoted industry and commerce in the past two decades,the market competition becomes increasingly fierce.To keep the advantage in the competition and a step ahead of other competitors,all industries or enterprises carry out projects to realize their strategic goals and adapt to the need of internal and external environments.The traditional project management advocates for an integrated management of the project's schedule,cost,scope and quality.As a core objective,the schedule management become a more and more important goal in the fierce competitive world.The traditional project schedule management methods such as Critical Path Method(CPM)and Program Evaluation and Review Technique(PERT),haven't involve the resource constraints and human behavior factors,therefore,these two schedule management methods have certain defects.In today's project,on one hand it unlike the traditional proj ect,it's no longer heavily relying on the various tools and equipment resource anymore.But more rely on human resource.Whatever technician,developer or business-related person,their work attitude and expertise can directly decide the final project result.On the other hand,In the traditional industry,due to there is no fixed project organization,most of them carry out projects through outsourcing and part-time employee or secondment from other functional departments.It's hard to guarantee their initiatives and enthusiasm in the proj ect.As a result,the risks of schedule management are significantly increased.The thesis takes IT project schedule management from A group as the research topic,besides systematically analyzing the defects of the traditional schedule management method,combining with the organizational culture of A group and current specific problems of the project,it tries to build up a management model of software project schedule management based on critical chain technology.Based on the theory and practice of the predecessors,I will integrate with my understanding of the critical chain to optimize the setting and monitoring of the critical chain buffer.Using the uncertainty coefficient method to calculate the buffer,monitoring the schedule health status combined with the proj ect progress and buffer usage.Thereby improving the effectiveness and stability of the schedule.Finally apply the model on the IT project of A group and analyzing the effect,verifying the advantage and practicability of the critical chain technology.
