Radar as one of the most key equipment of mode:m war,has been equiped to every kind of forces in large quantities. With the development of science and technology, the function and performance of the radar are getting stronger and stronger, and the system is more complex, and more expensive.Compared to traditional way to detect the circuit problem of radar board,Automated Test System(ATS)has many advantages, including more efficient, lower cost, more portable, etc. With the support of new bus technology,high-performance computer technology and computer network technology, the Automated Test Equipment,ATE,will be modular, serialized, standard, automated and informational. This paper will study the requirement of test about the low frequency components in one radar, and design a small,portable,multi-function automatic test equipment. This paper will introduce the development process and current situation of ATE,discusses the key technologies and methods to test.It will design a scheme based on the CPCI bus by analyzing the composition of the system, and analysis the EP4CE40F23I7,ALTERA's Cyclone ? family of FPGAs,and the application of the PCI9054.According to the test requirements and test methods, this paper designs the power board, low frequency analog signal acquisition board, low frequency analog signal stimulation and 32 road digital I/O board. At the same time, this paper discussed its principle in details. Finally, based on the PC software,we will complete the system test,by using quartus ? hardware logic development platform provided by ALTERA.And the test results meet the design requirements basically.
