With the development of modern electronic technology, as well as the high demands for modern radar, radar signal processing faces increasingly grim situation and also has more technical choice. The design using DSP as the main processor is no longer the only option. FPGAs with large-scale logic resources, are capable of achieving the DSP's corresponding functions to some extent. Moreover, FPGAs have high integration and reliability, but low-cost. Especially in the case of large amount of real-time signal processing, FPGA is more prefferable. Therefore, a signal processing systems with all-FPGA architecture is designed based on CPCI standard bus, consisting of acquisition board and signal processing board. It can implement digital orthogonal demodulation and digital pulse compression of radar signal processing.This paper starts with overall system design, combined with system features and technical specifications to be reached, then puts forward the specific hardware architecture. Separately on the data acquisition board and signal processing board, the design and implementation are illustrated in detail. It also presents the principles of digital orthogonal demodulation and pulse compression function, specific hardware circuit design and FPGA's internal implementation structure. Finally, the system is applied to a radar system, and the system measurement is performed to verify the correctness of the system design.
