Information literacy is the foundation of scientific research and knowledge innovation,and is a necessary literacy for high-quality and innovative talents.Information literacy education plays an important role in the cultivation of college talents.The university library is the school's document information resource center,an academic institution serving personnel training and scientific research.It has rich document information resources and a professional team of librarians,and has undertaken the main responsibilities of information literacy education.Information literacy education has new requirements in the new information environment.The content of information literacy education has changed from the acquisition and use of information to "data literacy","research literacy" and "innovation literacy".Through information literacy education,college libraries help college teachers and students discover information,correctly analyze information,effectively use information,manage and evaluate information,create knowledge,and cultivate good safety awareness and ethics.However,the current status of information literacy of teachers and students in colleges and universities is not optimistic.The information knowledge they have learned can no longer meet the requirements of the information age for scientific research,and the problems of insufficient information morality need to be improved;The old education content and the limitation of the information literacy model also need to be improved.It is imperative to reform the existing information literacy education.This thesis takes the university library of Henan Province as the research object,and comprehensively understands the current status of information literacy education in Henan university libraries and the information literacy status of teachers and students in Henan province through online surveys,telephone interviews and questionnaires.Through the analysis of the survey results,I tried to find out the problems in the contemporary information literacy education and provide somereferences for the information literacy education of college libraries in Henan Province.The findings are as follows.The following problems still exist in the information literacy education of university libraries in Henan Province: Low attention to the information literacy education;low propaganda;outdated Information Literacy Education Content;Limited Information Literacy Education Model;Imperfect Information Literacy education system.Based on the above analysis,this paper puts forward the following suggestions and measures: The libraries of colleges and universities in Henan Province should attach importance to information literacy education,ensure the development of document retrieval course,strengthen the propaganda of information literacy education,and enrich the content of information literacy education,constantly updating the educational content,making the educational content hierarchical,perfecting the Education of Information Ethics and morals;expanding the Educational Model of Information Literacy,trying to embed the education of information literacy,introducing the second classroom,playing education;perfecting the Educational System of Information Literacy,set up a team of experts,integrate network resources,improve information literacy new media platform.
