With the rapid development of information technology industry,optical fiber communication technology has made unprecedented achievements.Optical fiber is widely used in the communication industry.With the more and more frequent use of optical fiber communication in all walks of life,cable damage or cable deterioration and other line problems have become a huge potential danger affecting the stability of the communication network.In view of this situation,this paper studies and designs a performance monitoring and analysis system for communication optical cable,which can monitor the real-time and online performance of optical cable resources and change passive maintenance into active maintenance.Firstly,through the in-depth study of the development process of optical fiber communication technology and the development stage of optical fiber monitoring technology,the function and demand of the system are analyzed in combination with the actual situation of A communication bureau,the research direction and design principle are clarified.Secondly,the performance monitoring and analysis system of communication cable is designed to apply Optical time domain reflector module and power module for optical fiber cable line precision test.And at the same time,it combines advanced satellite positioning technology,database technology,high-speed digital signal processing technology,optical fiber channel control and computer technology for the real-time monitoring of cable resources.The system will analyze automatically when failure occurs and will accurately show the fault points and fault type on the Geographic information system map.And then it will trigger the alarm to inform the personnel on duty in a number of ways,and automatically generate barrier repair work order,which greatly enhances the efficiency of obstacles repair,and reduces the losses caused by cable fault.Finally,in order to enhance the security and stability of the monitoring system of communication bureau A,the system also has the fiber optic cable deterioration analysis function,can through the test line data acquisition,analysis and judgment of fiber optic cable deterioration trend,advance warning,to avoid communication failure caused by fiber optic cable deterioration.In addition,the monitoring system also has the function of optical cable resource management,which can visually view the machine room,optical cable,human well and other resources on the Geographic information system map.At present,the optical cable monitoring system has been successfully operated in the field of special communication,which can realize online real-time monitoring of optical cable resource network and provide a reliable and convenient maintenance platform for maintenance personnel.
