Power cables are applied largely in power systems, specially, in city distribution power system. However, under the effect of the high voltage, high field, large current and complex environment, the cable temperature rises and insulation deteriorates because of the copper loss and dielectric loss. Therefore, real-time monitoring the temperature of cable is an effective measure to monitor the cable insulation, which is of important meaning for preventing fault and protecting the stable and safe run of power system. The paper take advantage of Micro computer, Windows operating system, labview platform and SQL server database designed a distributed optical fiber temperature measuring software system based on Timing reflecting light principle and Raman scattering theory, completing transmission cable temperature measurement, meanwhile, realizing life-cycle management of the cable.Because of distributed optical fiber temperature sensor system output signal is small, which was easily disturbed, how to eliminate the white noise and Increase the precision of temperature measurement is a challenge in the temperature measurement system. In order to get effective signal, this thesis adopts fast HRP algorithm realization methods based on the Wavelet multi-resolution decomposition, and with cumulative average algorithm to process the sampled signal, the noise is suppressed effectively. This technology reduces operation time, and improves the accuracy and stability of the thermometric system. Finally, the data of the experiments are analyzed and the simulation is conducted, and based on LABVIEW to monitor the power cable temperature in real-time, and adopted MATLAB to analysis above algorithm, the obtained temperature profiles demonstrated the technology effective.
