The proportion of power communication optic fiber in Yangquan district has already been up to 90%. The traditional maintenance is unsuitable for optical fiber network development request. With the development of computer technology, the computer monitoring system of the transmission network of optical cable has appeared. At present the optical cable monitor system is suitable for fiber-optic cable communication system maintenance system, In to receive the controlling maintenance by the passive maintenancein the advancement to go forward a stride. The optical cable automatic monitor system is uses the computer and the communication as well as the optical fiber characteristic survey technology。It carries on the long-distance distributional real-time monitoring of the fiber optic transmission network, and the fiber optic cable line condition information centralism collection and the memory automated monitor the system processing. It is the computer network technology and the intelligence transmission technology organic synthesis. The dissertation researchs on the design of optical cable automatic monitor system network architecture design, three kind of different optical cables monitors plan design and data transmission network. The research fused the computer technology, the network technology and the optical communication techniques, which has the certain practical value and the economic efficiency.
