With the development of optical communication technology,optical fiber communication is the main transmission way of the communication network,optical fiber communication plays an important role in the construction of information highway,optical fiber communication up to the strategic position of national development has been to Europe and other developed countries.Optical fiber fusion splicer is a combination of optics,electronics and precision machinery equipment.The principle is the use of optical imaging system display end cutting completed,two section of fiber alignment by optical alignment system,followed by a high pressure arc electrode of the fiber dissolves,in order to obtain a low loss,low reflection,high mechanical strength and optical fiber fusion long-term stable and reliable joint.A new generation of optical fiber fusion splicer optical lens design calculation,including optical lens design,z-max simulation,hardware platform selection,chip selection,interface design,system design including hardware system,software algorithm including fiber edge detection algorithm,optical fiber type recognition algorithm.The key components of optical fiber fusion splicer are imaging system and ARC system,in this paper,I analysis and compare the vision technology of a new generation of optical fiber fusion splicer,a new generation of optical fiber fusion splicer and design improvements made in the optical lens,hardware system,software and other aspects of the analysis research.This article contribution and innovation: 1.Designing all the circuit of the machine,digital part of the abandoned the traditional DSP scheme,using ARM + FPGA;2.Using FPGA to realize the two-way real-time image collection,splicing,display and calculation,and other functions,improve the efficiency of the system,reduce the reaction time;3.Participating in FPGA and ARM part design and validation for the image processing algorithm,the traditional edge algorithm and recognition algorithm was improved,and get a more accurate fiber alignment accuracy and the recognition accuracy.The machine on the welding speed and welding on average loss has reached the international advanced level.
