With the rapid development of the information age,people's requirements for the network have become more and more high,and the establishment standards for optical fiber access and wireless coverage have become more and more perfect.The management of optical fiber access and wireless coverage construction projects has also received more and more attention.In fiber optic access and wireless coverage construction projects,project cost management is the key point of communication construction project management,and it is one of the performance of communication enterprises 'market competitiveness.The cost of optical fiber access and wireless coverage projects in universities and colleges are not only restricted but also interdependent.The cost management of project management is applied to the construction of optical fiber access and wireless coverage projects in universities,and the cost of projects can be controlled within the budget.Make the project complete on time within the investment plan.In this paper,we take the whole optical network access and wireless coverage project of Jiangsu school of food and medicine,which was built by China Unicom of Huaian company in 2017 as an example,combine project management with fiber optic access and wireless coverage construction project,and put project cost management theory into effect in the project construction practice.This paper focuses on the application of project management theory knowledge based on project cost management and supported by project schedule management in optical fiber access and wireless coverage construction projects,and uses project cost management theory to optimize project cost planning at the beginning of the project.In the course of the project implementation,using the earned value method in project cost management to analyze the reasons for the deviation between the cost schedule and the plan of the project,and using the key chain path method in project schedule management to adjust and optimize resources.Finally,under the control of the two,The cost and schedule of the project are carried out according to plan and can be completed on time and within budget.
