Appearance And User Interface Design Of Industrial FDM 3D Printer Base On The User Experience

As a revolutionary technology in manufacturing industry,3D printing has stepped into industrialization stage.With the maturity of 3D printing technology,function of products is becoming more and more similar.Appearance and user experience of products have become important valuable components for consumers to purchase and use products.Analysis appearance and user interface design of industrial FDM 3D printer base on the theory of Kansei Engineering and user experience elements.The main work includes following:1.On the basis of Kansei Engineering theory,this study uses semantic difference method to collect consumer's kansei need of industrial 3D printers and use cluster analysis to get four evaluation targets for appearance of industrial 3D printers.2.Get “advanced” and “reliable” are two important semantic factors by reducing the dimension of users' semantic factors based on the Principal Component Analysis.Extract five design categories of industrial 3D printer's apprence and analyze the design elements of each categories.Using Quantitative Theory I to find the relationship between design elements and consumer's important semantic factors,provide theoretical basis for printer appearance design.3.The design process of industrial FDM 3D printer software's user interface is established base on the user experience elements theories.Determine product functions through user research and scenario analysis.Determine software interaction by analyzing the characteristics of the equipment and the user's mental model.Determine the user interface layout base on the Gestalt Theory,user visual flows and market research.Based on the visual design elements of user interface,design points of fonts,colors,and icons are determined.4.Integrate all design principals and theoretical basis,Do the appearance concept design,modeling and rendering of industrial FDM 3D printer.Do the wireframe design and user interface visual design of industrial FDM 3D printer software.
