In recent years all countries in the world are following Germany's pace towards the "Industry 4.0" development model. "Industry 4.0" theme is a smart factory, smart manufacturing and smart logistics, which is the development and maturity of industrial robot. At the same time, the promulgation of the "MadeinChina2025" plan marks the industrial robot industry in China is facing a rapid development period.In order to promote the popularity and influence of industrial robots in China, on the one hand, we need technical breakthroughs and innovation, on the other hand, we need a frontier of product design. Research on Design and Evaluation of Industrial Robot Based on Kansei Engineering can provide theoretical basis for the design of industrial robot, and it can carry out feasibility analysis for the design. Therefore, this paper has done the following work for the industrial robot design and evaluate research.(1) Describe the influence of the modern industrial robot in society and the industrial robot research status briefly, research and analysis the multi degree of freedom industrial robot.(2) Expound the concept of the Kansei engineering, and analyze the industrial robot case by using Kansei Engineering, then conclude the emotional vocabulary of industrial robots. Apply an analytic hierarchy process on the analysis of industrial robots to obtain the design elements.(3) Use questionnaire to research and analyze emotional vocabulary and design elements, use the eye movement experiment to select the optimal design case of industrial robots, and analyze it quantitatively according to its corresponding emotional vocabulary and design elements, and conclude the final design elements and design factors of industrial robots.(4) Put the 6-dof industrial robot design as an actual case to conclude the design elements and design factors according to the experimental results to design and analyze the industrial robots.This paper is mainly based on the research of Kansei Engineering and the analysis of the industrial robot design case study which applied the theory of design and evaluation. It compared and analyzed several kinds of experimental data with the result of questionnaire survey and the result of expert evaluation to conclude the final design scheme, which makes the industrial robot design more scientific and more standardized. It is more conducive to the sustainable development of industrial robots and the development of national manufacturing.
