Study On Mobile Phone Development Project Schedule Management

Mobile phone development project includes multi-disciplinary,cross-functional Collaborative Design and System Integration,which generally uses a waterfall development process and sets up assessment point of periodic deliverables for approving each project stage in order to ensure the whole project quality.As the market competition is increasing,the product life cycle becomes shorter and shorter,the success of mobile phone development projects depends largely on the achievement of the project schedule.This paper analyzes the main reason leading to the delay of mobile phone development projects from objective,subjective,external and internal factors and summarizes them into two classes of typical problems.The paper then studies potential task reworks during the project development process as well as their impact on the project schedule by using task-based Design Structure Matrix(DSM),and it uses Matlab to design an easy-to-use algorithm template to quantitatively analyze and study the predictive value of the overall project duration,thereby build a set of project schedule management model suitable for mobile phone development project.Then,the paper presents a dynamic management process based on such model,and finally proposes some complementary strategies and recommendations for the aforementioned management model and process from the point of flexible management.
