Schedule Management Study On 4 Inch Panel Development Project For Smart Mobile Phone

With the continuous improvement of production technology in recent years,various flat panel display devices grow up faster and faster.In the flat display product market,the liquid crystal display(LCD)occupies the predominance that shares more than 80%.Along with display industry accelerated upgrading,the LCD suppliers need to develop new products constantly in order to meet customer demand.Therefore,enterprises are eager to conduct project management,shorten cycle period,and improve efficiency and market competitiveness for new product research.Based on the combination of theory and practice,the schedule management of 4 inch LCD for smartphone has been studied in TM Company in this thesis.Firstly,we introduce the TM company profile,organizational structure and project processes.Secondly,based on the 4 inch new product project,we analysis the development of the project schedule,work breakdown structure of the project,the decomposition of job responsibility,determining step,duration of the project and drawing project network diagram.Using the critical path method,we determine the total duration of the project and arrange an initial project schedule.In addition,the method of critical chain to optimize the schedule was adopted to match the customer delivery date.Finally,we implement the project on schedule and give conclusions and insufficient of the project progress management.According to the research of the new product project schedule management,work procedure among sales,technical,purchasing and production department have been improved,as well as the communication between R & D department and factory has been strengthened.Generally,the research of this thesis deepens the cognition of project schedule management in TM Company,and it plays an important reference role for subsequent product development project.
