The competition has been increasing year by year with the development of PC industry in PC area.The question of how to design a PC product that can satisfy customers' need is one of main objectives and also the foundation of existence and development for a PC company.The PC motherboard design project management is the key factor determining the development of a PC company.The present thesis aimed to propose a new method for PC design project management and controlling,namely,the Critical Chain Project Management(CCPM).Firstly,the thesis presents the problem of PC MB's design project in P company currently-too long for project duration,analyzes and summarizes the reasons for project duration long.Base on the P company's existing problem,the author realize the importance of management of project schedule.And by comparing the methods of CPM?PERT?CCPM,find out the method of management of project schedule-CCPM.According to the features of PC MB's design project,the paper presents a total management of project schedule for it.Base on the time distribution of project activity,the thesis adopts three duration for project's duration estimation;the setting methods for buffer zone of CCPM and basing on the previous experience,a new method of buffer zone calculation;finally adopt iteration method for optimizing sources to recognize critical chain and by controlling buffer zone to come out project schedule control.Finally,by analyzing the example of PC MB's design to verify the methods of the paper's using,to prove that CCPM can shorten the time of project design.The methods of this thesis adopting has some reference meaning for others' enterprises.
