Neil Postman put forward a famous viewpoint from the perspective of Media morphology:The entertainment nature of TV media makes it unsuitable for displaying content with deep thoughts,so the civilization form it dominates is completely different from the one dominated by print media. This assertion seems to place books and television in the opposition that is incompatible like water and fire, but only in terms of the history and current status of Chinese TV shows, the ever-increasing TV reading programs seems to respond in a practical way to Neil Postman's point of view. This article stands in the position of the analysis of media form, through the diachronic investigation of Chinese TV reading programs in different periods,to analyze how the TV media uses its own morphological features to process and reproduce the contents of the books. What is the significance of these changes in media practice(such as inheriting civilization, popularizing culture, etc.)?TV media tends to choose what type of book as the program content? In different historical periods, how does TV show the changing trend of the TV language used in the media presentation of books? What structural factors(such as media system, social environment, etc.)restrict and influence these media practice? Are there any shortcomings in the production and dissemination of reading programs worth reflecting on?What kind of experience and lessons have been provided for the future innovation of TV reading programs? These are the issues that this paper hopes to explore. Therefore, this paper takes the theoretical framework of media morphology as the basis and context for discussion, using a combination of case studies and literature analysis, and according to the development of Chinese TV reading festival purpose stage, dividing TV reading froms into three periords:early exploration;from prosperity to decline, from decline to renaissance, and also chooses several representative reading programs respectively for analysis and interpretation. The full text of each chapters are arranged as following:"introduction".Explain the background and research significance of the topic, synthesize the research status at home and abroad, and briefly introduce the research content, research methods and case selection."Chapter ?
