Children's picture books are focused on picture narratives,which are quite popular due to their diverse and interesting themes.It started late in China,whose content and form are consequently immature while the imported one has much more various forms and higher sales volume.Recently,many excellent picture books have been developed and produced in China.Therefore,the study on the excellent imported children's picture books will undoubtedly facilitate the development of them in China.Children's picture books about popular science are quite significant type in education,which should contain not only the interests of Children's picture books but also the tasks of popularizing scientific information.This study aims to understand how foreign excellent creators can integrate picture books with objective scientific knowledge through by imported children's picture books about popular science,so as to provide some reference for the creators of Chinese popular science children's picture books.This research explores the editorial ideas of the imported version of popular science children's picture books from the binding and content through case analysis,text analysis,comparative analysis and some other research methods.The first chapter makes a layer-by-layer definition of the imported version of children's picture books about popular science.The second chapter mainly explores the design of the picture book,including the cover and back cover design strategies,the help of the form of the drawing to the story construction and knowledge transmission,and the unique value of color in the popular science picture books.The third chapter starts from the content aspect,analyzing the selection strategy of the imported popular science children's picture books,and further discussing how to present scientific knowledge on content editing,and finally summarizing the three graphic relationships,which are commonly used in the imported popular science children's picture books.In the last chapter,the author will make some suggestions according to this research,hoping to inspire the editors and publishers of Chinese popular science children's picture books.
