This thesis mainly studies the six catalogues compiled by chinese and foreign scholars for the chinese classics of the French National Library since the 18th century:In 1742,"Linguae Sinicae Grammatica" published by Etienne Fourmont(1683-1745),for the Royal Library of Paris(now the French National Library),accompanied by the catalogue of chinese classics(Sinicorum Regiae bibliothecae Librorum Catalogus);Jean Pierre Abel Remusat(1788-1832)wrote the "Memoire sur les Livres Chinois de la Bibliotheque du Roi" in 1818;in 1853,Remusat's fascinating student,Stanislas Julien(1797-1873),edited the Catalogue of Chinese and Manchu Books from the Royal Library(Catalogue des livres chinois et mantchoux de la Bibliotheque royale);In 1902,the orientalist Maurice Courant(1865-1935),was compiled the Catalogue of Chinese,Korean,Japanese books,etc.(Catalogue des livres chinois,coreens,japonais,etc.);in 1908,Paul Pelliot(1878-1945)was compiled Paul Pelliot's collections of chinese classics A and B from the French National Library(Des Collections Pelliot<A>et<B>du Fonds Chinois de la Bibliotheque Nationale);"Exchange Librarian"Mr.Wang Zhongmin was collated Paul Pelliot's collections of chinese classics A and B from the French National Library during the period of 1935-1939(Catalogue des collections Pelliot<A>et<B>).Through the collation and research of the compiler's life and the basic conditions of the six catalogues,we can explore the characteristics and values of each catalogue,show the history of the compilation of the chinese classics in the French National Library,and reveal the achievements of the editors in arranging and researching chinese classics.In order to inspiring future researchers to explore the history,the current situation,as well as the development of sinology in the french cchinese classics.
