Exploitation And Utilization Of Foreign Literatures And Information Resources In The Chinese National Agricultural Library

Foreign literature and information resource, as an important part of literatures and information resources in our country, have a universal phenomenon of low utilization efficiency. So, how to increase its utilization efficiency and exert its potential value fully is a pressing problem to be resolved.Based on the fact of low utilization efficiency for foreign literature and information resource in the Chinese National Agricultural Library, especially on the objective reality that non-thesis literatures in the foreign periodicals have not been exploited and utilized enough, this study is to analyze structure characteristics of foreign literature and information resource and users type using data investigation and users' questionnaire. According to developmental actuality of agricultural foreign literature and information resource in our country, society developmental trend and information requirement characteristic of users, the research carries on the mode of information collection and processing, transmission approach, technology support system and management pattern to bring up efficient countermeasure of exploitation and utilization for native agricultural foreign literature and information resource.To increase the utilization efficiency of foreign literature and information resource, the result considered that it must be on the basis of market regulations, focused on the users' demands, and strengthen digitalization of information resource and database construction. With development of our society, economy and scientific technique, it should be focused on individualized product exploitation to supply multiple services for users. At the same time, corresponding policy and rule of law should be constituted to give law guarantee and policy support, management and running mechanism should be established and perfected to exploit and utilize native foreign literature and information resource reasonably, orderly and efficiently.
