Compare Study On National Library Of Chinese Agriculture And National Library Of American Agriculture

Due to China is a country with large population, it should base its economic development on the agriculture. Since the National Agriculture Library is an important institution which drives the development of agriculture, gathers the information, and spreads the cultural knowledge, the foundation of the library is unquestionable. For the sake of further typing social function, it is necessary to upgrade computer hardware, software technology, and improve the level of knowledge and service library staff agriculture.it can provide better service for social development.For the purpose of better serving of the National Agricultural Library, this article focus the different social service phenomenon on national agricultural library between China and the US. By introducing the basic work of the China and the US national agricultural library. The article offers the contrasting on these five aspects-individual service, resource construction, the customers service, and the inter exchange on the libraries.At the same time we analyze the superiority and inferiority of the library, counting on the different fundamental realities, the population and economic development of the two countries so as to put forward the short comings among the development of national agricultural library. In addition, we provide some suggestions for the further development of the information service of the national agricultural development. As far as what we are concerning only by accelerating the digitizing of the library, can we better develop our national agricultural library. Because the using of digital documents can rise the utilization rate of them. Besides, the more people who check the documents on computer, the more quickly they spread. Meanwhile the national library should cooperate with the libraries of the universities and share the resources and documents. The benefits of sharing lie not only in promoting the standard of scientific study, but also flowing the resources among the libraries. The establishment of the long-term effective mechanism is used for better governing the library. What’s more, enhancing scientific study can build the theory supports for the development of library as well as establish the scientific evaluation for the long term plan of the library. A proper evaluation system can help to build a standardized administration which makes the library more competitive.
