Research On The Development And Strategies Of Reading Services In Chinese Libraries

Under the background of advocating all-people reading,constructing book-fragrant society and learning-type society,library reading services are developing in full swing in China.This paper,with the aims to improve the quality of library reading services,takes the influencing factors and basic elements of the development of library reading services as the starting point to study the challenges faced by the development of Chinese library reading services and puts forward some strategies.The first part includes research background,research purpose,significance and domestic and foreign research status,research methods,research content and innovation.The second part is based on The Five Laws of Library Science,"people-oriented" "space reconstruction" "reading promotion" service concept to clarify the service perspective.Then,the concept,characteristics and significance of library reading service are described.The third part,through the analysis of the service contents and characteristics of the traditional reading service,the digital reading service and the intelligent reading service,summarizes the information technology innovation leads the development of the reading services.The national policy indicates the development direction of the reading services and the way of read change the reading services mode,which influence the development of the reading services.At the same time,this paper summarizes the development factors of the reading services,the collection development are the foundation,and the space design are the development and the reading promotion are the basic elements of the innovation of reading services.The fourth part analyzes the challenge of library reading services development from three aspects: resourcesdevelopment,space design and reading promotion.The fifth part focuses on the development of traditional resources and digital resources from the resource type to the traditional and digital resources,and the content of the resources should take into account the systematic and characteristic diversified resources development.The function of reading space in the library,intelligent reading space outside the library and integration of virtual and real environment to create diversified reading space.Open the door to win-win cooperation,introduce the concept of innovative service and strengthen the strength of personnel training,and provide the strategy of reading services response challenges around three basic factors.
