In recent years,the integrated circuit industry,which plays an important role in China's economic development and national security,has flourished.As one of the cores of integrated circuits,chip products are gradually gaining more attention,and chip projects are increasing.At present,the demand for chips in various industries is diversified,and it is becoming smaller and tends to be customized quickly.The SiP(System in Package)chip can satisfy the above requirements.And the proportion of such SiP projects in the company's revenue has increased year by year.Due to problems in the schedule management,the project delay have brought much losses to the company.This paper takes SiP project of C Company as the object,and applies the critical chain method to the schedule management of such projects.Firstly,using the case study method,the interview method and the Delphi method to analyze the reasons of the project delay.the reasons as list:the inaccurate construction period estimation;the risk&importance evaluation of the task are insufficient;the resource problem,especially the external resource situation;the cycletime of current task is affected by the previous task;the Parkinson&Student Syndrome;monitoring and taking actions are not timely.Secondly,the task of the SiP project is breakdown to identify the critical chain of such projects.For the identified issue,the task importance coefficient,the external resource importance coefficient,the elasticity coefficient and the position weight are introduced as the factors of the buffer setting,and a new buffer calculation formula is constructed.Finally,the buffer is monitored and managed by means of double assessment of progress and buffer consumption.Applying the new critical chain model to the SiP project of C Company,compare with the traditional schedule management method,shortening the project cycletime and verifying the validity of the model.At the same time,the research results of this paper provide a reference for the subsequent SiP project schedule management.
