| False news is a grievous illness that has existed since the birth of journalism.The Internet breaks the limitation of time and space,decomposes the news discourse power of traditional media,and makes the dissemination of false news more convenient.The massiveness of Internet information has increased the difficulty of reviewing news,its anonymity and freedom,making the source of false news difficult to trace.Since the 2016 U.S.presidential election,discussions about fake news have also been rampant.Then,Starbucks and other well-known companies were involved in the false news whirlpool in2017.The term “fake news” also became the top word in the 2017 Top Ten Hot Words published by the Collins Dictionary.False news has become a global public hazard,and more countries are beginning to reflect and take measures to combat false news.It is of practical significance to analyze the characteristics of false news in the context of Internet,sort out the shortcomings of false news related regulations and make suggestions.It is necessary to create a good network public opinion environment and promote the further regulation of false news.At the same time,the study of false news is also a basic topic of journalism.Studying the relevant characteristics of false news in the new context is also an extension and deepening of this research topic.This paper takes 158 false news selected by Journalists in 2003-2017 as a research sample,and uses literature analysis methods,case analysis methods,content analysis methods and other research methods.In addition to the introduction and conclusion,this paper analyzes the concept of false news in the main part,and then analyzes the characteristics of the text publisher of the false news,the characteristics of the text and the characteristics of the production context,and finally based on the false news in the Internet context.The characteristics of the status quo and deficiencies of the false news related regulation are sorted out,and feasible suggestions are proposed in a targeted manner.The main part of this paper is composed of six parts: the first part analyzes the concept of false news and explains the concept of false news in the context of Internet;the second part is from the media level,geographical location,motives,platform types,etc.Four aspects analyze the characteristics of the text senders of false news.Research shows that the false news text publishers have thecharacteristics of all levels of media have occurred,more economically developed regions,deliberately inaccurate more than half,and social media as the main platform;Part of the analysis of false news texts from the five aspects of reporting genre,topic selection,source,narrative framework and wording,research shows that the text of false news has the largest number of news reports,more concentrated in social subjects,and a single source of information.The narrative framework features such features as “anecological”,“living” and emotional exaggeration.The fourth part analyzes the production context of false news.As far as news activities are concerned,the content of news texts is created in a certain production context.The analysis of the context of news text production is conducive to a deeper understanding of false news,thus better regulating false news.The fifth part is to sort out the existing regulations of false news,and to find out the inadequacies of the existing regulations in combination with the characteristics of the false news summarized in the previous article.This paper proposes detailed solutions from three aspects,namely,strengthening the legislation in cyberspace,establishing the self-discipline mechanism of news industry,and strengthening the censorship awareness and obligation of social platforms.The innovation of this paper is to provide suggestions for the governance of false news from the perspective of social platforms.According to this research,social media has become the main platform for publishing false news in the context of the Internet,and the false news has been exploding.However,when combing the previous research literature,it is found that the existing researches on improving the false news related regulations mostly focus on laws and regulations,industry regulation,audiences,etc.,and rarely regulate the false news from the perspective of the social media platform itself.Therefore,based on the communication context of the Internet,this article regards “enhancing the cognition awareness and obligation of social platforms” as one of the ways to control false news,hoping to provide new ideas for the governance of false news. |
