The paper summed up the characteristics of the Internet of Things (IOT) applications and current application situation from the perspectives of IOT application. IOT protocols and research work of organization are analysed from the technical level which provide help for IOT architecture.This paper also focuses on several key technologies for the IOT applications, which includes the IOT service frameware based on semantic, semantic annotation method for web service discovery, the context model and reasoning model based on ontology, the composition service of IOT and QoS, the design and implementation of smart middleware. The achievements are as follows.1) This paper analyzes the role of middleware in the IOT applications, and puts forward a kind of general middleware framework of IOT according to the Semantic Web and Web Service technologies. In order to solve problems of machine processing for IOT information, the concept of ontology was introduced for classifying IOT service, reusing and sharing information, realizing the semantic annotation and Web service discovery related algorithm.2) Related research makes use of ontology for modeling the context of the IOT. Based on Semantic Web technology, a context-aware middleware framework of IOT is proposed to realize the context knowledges in the field to share, reuse and reasoning which provide support for IOT services.3) The QoS requirements of the combination services and WSN are studied. Combined with the QoS technology of the composite service, we put forward an effective decomposition and computational method in IOT envionment. Compared with traditional methods, the algorithm can improve the computing speed of QoS for IOT composite service.Comprehensive this topic research results, this paper puts forward the design scheme of smart middleware framework used for IOT (ISMW). This paper introduces the realization of ISMW environment, reasoning module and the realization methods of knowledge base, the application of web combination, QoS related technical realization. ISMW uses the technology of ontology to realize the IoT of knowledge classification, sharing, and reuse.
