At present,people have developed different communication protocols according to different needs,and with the development of technology,the amount of data transmission has gradually increased,the complexity of data processing has gradually increased,and higher requirements for data transmission under different protocols have also been put forward..This requires the design of a dedicated high-speed protocol conversion device to accomplish this,so it is necessary to research on Ethernet 10 Gigabit data transmission.After a preliminary understanding of the development history of 10 Gigabit Ethernet and the implementation principle of protocol conversion,FPGA is chosen as the carrier to study the 10 Gigabit high-speed transmission technology of Ethernet in protocol conversion.Based on the principle of Ethernet transmission,protocol conversion,the system hardware development and design process,a hardware platform based on Xilinx's Kintex-7 series FPGA chip for 10 Gigabit protocol conversion system is designed.The platform includes data transmission and reception and protocol conversion,it can complete 10 Gigabit transmission of data and convert between custom protocol and Ethernet protocol.The system provides 10 Gigabit transmission speed,richer bandwidth and processing power based on the Ethernet communication protocol.The research content of this thesis includes:(1)The dissertation uses a transmission technology such as GTX or LVDS to build a set of 10 G protocol conversion hardware platform.For the 10 G transmission requirements,the FPGA structure has been deeply analyzed.Data conversion relies on hardware and relies on proper circuit design.The dissertation designs a complete hardware solution for the 10 Gigabit protocol conversion system based on the actual application.(2)Based on the current research status of high-speed transmission technology of Ethernet protocol conversion,the dissertation proposes a key technology for fast conversion between Ethernet protocol and custom protocol.After analysis,the protocol conversion based on FPGA is proposed,and the data unpacking,frame-splicing and multiplexing are completed,and finally output through the GTX module.(3)Based on the signal integrity theory,the dissertation conducts signal integrity research and analysis on the hardware platform.The Cadence software tool is used for PCB design.The layout method of multi-layer circuit board and the routing strategy of high-speed digital signals are applied to extract the topology and simulate the key signals.Finally,the network tester is used for hardware testing.
