Study Of University Library Website Evaluation Based On Analytic Hierarchy Process

With the high-speed development of the network technology, many national librarieshave set up their own website on the Internet, providing the network information service forthe reader. The website has become an important embodiment for the level of the librarydigitization and network. Provide more extensive, convenient, fast, high quality and efficientinformation service for the reader, satisfy the information requirement in a higher level andmore fields to the reader, and make huge contribution to the culture progress and spread of thewhole society. But, because of various reason, the quality of the library website is uneven, thescientific and reasonable evaluation to the library website seeming to be important.This thesis puts forward a set of index system evaluating the library website withanalyzing the present condition of website development and evaluation, and makes certain theproportion to each index by AHP (analytic hierarchy process) of the operational research, in orderto realize the scientific and reasonable evaluation to the library website, hoping which couldprovide the consultation according as to the construction and development of national librarywebsite, and strengthen the information service ability of the library.This dissertation consists of four parts:The first part summarizes the related problem of the website evaluation, including thenecessity, purpose and meaning of the evaluation to the library website, the domestic andforeign website evaluation research, and the corpus, method and direction of the evaluation tothe library website, which sum up the present condition of the website evaluation in whole.The second part is the keystone of this thesis and also the innovative point. According to thefive construction principles of the website evaluation index, the author makes sure the totaltarget of the website evaluation first, namely: the website information resources and the webpage information resources, resolves the total target again one-class index and second-classindex, then builds up the index system, becoming the total form of the evaluation system.The third part, first, the author draws up AHP, which adopt to calculate the index proportionin this thesis, and then makes certain the proportion number of the evaluation index using thismethod.In the fourth part, we will evaluate the high school library website of our country usingthe evaluation index system of the high school library website. First, calculating thecorrespond proportion worth of each level index using the judge matrix, and then mark toeach high school library website according to the design index of the evaluation form, in orderto get the final result, after that, make the evaluation conclusion according to the evaluationprocess and the result.. At present, all the high school library website of our country has boththe function of the traditional library and the on-line library, but did not realize the realmeaning on-line library. Judging from the structure of setting up the website, the whole modescompare for the norm, and develop for standardization and unification. Aim at the problemappearing in the evaluating process, such as the whole structure, the page arrangement and theinformation content, the author puts forward the corresponding suggestion.
