Abstract/Summary:
In such a macro environment of advocating nationwide reading,as the documental information center,university library assumes significant mission in promoting reading.Its main service objects are vibrant young people who are influenced by new media technol ogy and willing to accept digital reading.Therefore,the traditional reading promotion of university library is facing serious challenge.This study uses new media features.Through various research methods such as investigation,visit,cases and document analysis,this study has concluded the status quo of modern university students? reading and university library reading promotion.In the combination with new media digital reading features of the audience,it has made a feasible analysis of the applicatio n of new media in reading promotion.According to the customers? needs,it has designed a reading promoting platform,?Xiaotu reading?.Relying on "bookshelf","library","discover" and "mine" module,the three features of "resource integration","reading circle" and "linkage promotion" are realized.Use of mobile end to integrate online and offline resources,and gets reading three-dimensional,fragmental and ubiquitous to create personalized reading spaces,realize the reading community interaction.Optimize new media reading experience and activity participation experience for readers.Meet their information needs and psychological needs.This study forms a digital reading promotion strategy for university libraries through platform construction,reading promotion practice and follow-up effect evaluation.It will exert positive influence on the reading promotion of university library.
