College time is the golden age of a person to read.As the main provider of college students' reading resources-the university library,it plays an important role in the reading promotion.In the information age,WeChat as one of the most preferred reading platform of college students,profoundly changes the students' reading habits and reading model.In face of the changing reading demand of college students,university libraries should innovate in the reading promotion service.Nowadays many university libraries opened the WeChat public number,and promotes reading through the WeChat public platform,and WeChat reading promotion is rising constantly,and become a new form of the reading promotion of university libraries.The paper investigated the WeChat reading promotion of top 40 university libraries,analyses the progress and problem of them,and puts forward some suggestions to innovate the form of reading promotion and improve its level,and make due contribution to the nationwide reading.First,the paper introduces the related concepts about WeChat reading prom otion,and analyses the feasibility of carrying out reading promotion service by using WeChat public platform.The second,the paper introduces present progress situation of WeChat reading promotion from the perspective of the overall d evelopment of reading promotion,information push time,information push form,pattern of reading promotion,background management,specific content,summer reading promotion.Then,concludes the experience and evaluation of the users from comprehensive degree,usage,purpose on the attention,demand and satisfaction of users.Based on the above analysis,the paper finds there are some questions about WeChat reading promotion of university libraries,such as the weak sense of service,the lack of publicity,indefinite service orientation,non-standard platform construction.Finally,the paper puts forward to some improvement strategies from the promotion,service orientation and platform construction.
