A Study On Construction Of Media Memory Of The 918 Incident On People's Daily(1949-2017)

Mass media have the function of the storage and classification of the past,the human through the medium can be continue to reproduce and reduction in reality,and thus influence human's personal memory,collective memory and social memory.The research on media memory plays an important role in shaping the imagined national community,which can help the audience to deepen their own national identity in the process of backdating history.The September 18 th incident was the beginning of Japan's war of aggression against China.It had a profound influence on China,so it was remembered as a memorial to the war of resistance against Japan.In this paper,we take the People's Daily(1949-2017)of stories about the "918" incident as the breakthrough point,to quantify the report,supplemented by qualitative analysis,combined with the social background,times change and so on,attempts to outline the the traditional newspaper media reported Anti-Japanese War memorial evolution path since 1949,thus to explore the media memory.In this paper,the study found that "918" incident is a "memory" wound of war narrative,influenced by Japanese modified textbook events since 1982,the People's Daily "918" incident began to include them in the "national humiliation" narrative,and build the "humiliation" of memory.In 2005,the People's Daily reports focus on the typical character report,and try to include the "hero veteran" narrative,construct the hero veteran memory.
