On The Presentation Of Yugu People Media Image In People's Daily Since The Founding Of The People's Republic Of China

The media image of ethnic minorities can affect the inheritance and development of minority culture and affect the public's comprehensive understanding of ethnic minorities,so it is very important to study the image of ethnic minorities in the media.Yugu people is one of the unique ethnic minorities in Gansu province`.They have a rich and splendid national culture,and in the process of national development,there are some practical problems,such as relatively backward education,cultural inheritance that lacks of successors.Therefore,the problems of Yugu people in the real development need the mass media to be true,present to the public in an all-round way.From the perspective of news communication,this study applies content analysis method and text analysis method in the reports of Yugu people in People's Daily since the founding of the People's Republic of China,and analyzes and studies the media images of Yugu people on mainstream media platforms.The purpose of this study is two things: first,to review and sort out the reports about Yugu people in People's Daily since the founding of the People's Republic of China,to solve the two problems of "how is reported" and "what is the change",and then to analyze the report content after sorting out,to solve the problem of "what is presented",and to summarize the media images of Yugu people in the reports of People's Daily at different stages since the founding of the People's Republic of China.Second,it is an attempt to provide reference for the image presentation of ethnic media in the future through this study.Through analyzing the reports of Yugu people in People's Daily since the founding of the People's Republic of China,the author finds that People's Daily,as a party newspaper,has presented different media images of Yugu people in its reports at different stages since the founding of the People's Republic of China.Moreover,the factors influencing the media image of Yugu people are not single,which are not only marked by social changes,but also marked by the development of mass media and the changes of ethnic policies.
