A Comparative Study On The Reports Of Disabled Persons In "Beijing News" And "West China City Daily"

Over the past four decades of reform and opening up,China's market vitality has been unprecedentedly released,the national economy has been developing by leaps and bounds,economic strength has been continuously enhanced,people's income has also increased,and the happiness index has gradually increased.The government,social organizations,and the general public have also paid more and more attention to the disabled groups.Especially since the 18 th National Party Congress,General Secretary Xi Jinping has emphasized that disabled persons are equal members of the human family.At the same time,he also proposed to build a well-to-do society in an all-round way.A person with disabilities should not be allowed to leave the team.He must help disabled people to actively integrate into the community and work hard to achieve a happy and happy life through the help of society and the handicapped.The voices and figures of disabled people are increasing in China's media coverage.However,due to the limited professional capabilities of journalists and their isolation from the social classes of the disabled,the media still discriminates and speculates when reporting on this group.The coverage is also narrow and focuses only on the reporters.Regarding the rehabilitation,health and legal rights and interests of disabled persons,the relationship between the disabled groups and the development of the times is neglected.Therefore,analyzing the media's reporting framework for people with disabilities,understanding the focus of media attention,and how to report their opinions,is conducive to grasping the laws of reporting as a whole,so that it is of great significance to eliminate discrimination in reporting and achieve social fairness.This article analyzes the reporting framework based on the reports of disability groups in the "Beijing News" and "Huaxi Dushi Bao" between January 2011 and December 2016,and analyzes them from the perspective of news balance,salience and objectivity.This paper discusses the framework and characteristics of the coverage of the two metropolitan newspapers with regard to the content of the report,the use of images,the layout of the layout,the length of the report,the tone of the title,and the sources and sources of the news.The analysis found that when the two metropolitan newspapers were constructing a framework for reporting on persons with disabilities,the same point was: based on their political performance and charity framework,they used official discourse,short message length,and positive reporting tone.The difference lies in: "Huaxi Dushi Bao" focuses on typical character frameworks and human-friendly frameworks,and sources of information are more diversified.The Beijing News focuses on building a responsible government image when constructing a policy framework.There are differences in the use of focus and bias in reporting space and images.The proposal for adjusting the reporting framework for persons with disabilities: increase the number of persons with reports on disabilities and the news framework;practitioners should change their reporting concepts;and report the group on the basis of the equalization of civilians.The process of building a report framework for the handicapped: First,the selection of event information tends to be balanced.The source of the news is to use official government discourse and listen to the voices of ordinary people so as to ensure the diversity and objectivity of the sources.Second,the construction of news materials highlights and weakens the dynamic process.Through the reservation and rejection of some news materials,subject determination,reporting genre and layout choices,etc.to reconstruct the materials.3.Thematic framework adjustment and construction.The theme framework must conform to the mainstream ideology of the society,and under the framework of this mainstream concept,the framework should be adjusted scientifically and reasonably.At the same time,we must ensure that the performance framework,the event framework and the charity framework are the main ones,and we must also coordinate other frameworks,such as humane frameworks and typical character frameworks.
