In the wave of globalization sweeping across from today, the country's image has never been more eye-catching than now. This article reports combine the critical incident and the construction of State's image and look at how to construct the China's national image respectively through the "People's Daily" and "The New York Times" in Sichuan wenchuan earthquake incidents report , in order to sum up gain and loss in the process of.the critical incident report.Through a comparative analysis study,we found that during the Sichuan wenchuan earthquake incidents report, China's international image of the country has improved more than ever, especially the image of the Government of China and the Chinese national image greatly improved, but Western media are still "stereotype" in some areas, which is due to their basic benefits .Therefore, when we foucs on the study of Chinese and foreign media and dissemination of how to build China's image ,at the same time we should consider our own long and short and work out China's actual policies and programs to further explore our resources to improve the image of the status of our country ,and create a harmonious international public opinion environment for the Chinese peaceful rise.
