Through the investigation of the present situation of data literacy education in foreign university libraries,the characteristics and experiences are summarized,which will provide reference and reference for our university library to explore the data literacy education.Based on the concept and connotation of data literacy and combining with the related theories of education,some foreign university libraries are selected as the research object.The data literacy education of foreign university libraries is divided into 6 aspects:teaching objectives,teaching subjects,teaching objects,teaching methods,teaching contents and teaching evaluation in the data literacy education.Practice and summarize the characteristics and experience of data literacy education.There are still many shortcomings in the development of data literacy education in China's university libraries.For example,the mode of information literacy education has limited the data literacy education model,the lack of education in the practice of data literacy education,the lack of quality development education,the training objectives of China's colleges and universities and the inadequate course content,and so on.China should learn from the practice of data literacy education in foreign university libraries: the state and universities should attach importance to data literacy education,analyze the data literacy requirements of different teaching objects,set corresponding teaching objectives and teaching contents,build qualified data literacy teaching team,and integrate the content of data literacy education into the teaching.Traditional information literacy courses,improve the way of data literacy education,and do well in teaching evaluation of data literacy education.
