Reference service is one of the core businesses of the library.With the development of the Internet,digital reference services have emerged,which have many advantages such as the breakthrough in time and space,rich reference sources,and multiple methods.With the further development of the information-based society,the library is a department that is profoundly affected by informationization.The construction of various digital information resources and the use of various digital retrieval methods have laid a solid foundation for the promotion of digital reference service.As a result,digital reference service has become more and more widely used in practical work and is playing an increasingly important role.At the same time,the information acquisition habits of library users have also evolved along with it.More and more users tend to obtain digital information resources through various channels,and they are more inclined to digital reference when choosing reference services.Therefore,it is of great practical significance to improve the level of digital reference services and guarantee the quality of digital reference services.The research on digital reference of university library can not only improve the quality of its reference service,satisfy user's information needs,but also improve the core competitiveness of university.The main work of the dissertation is to investigate the current situation through online surveys and research experiments of 42 "double-first-class" universities from three dimensions as follows:service ability,service mode,and service platform.Among them,the service capability indicators mainly include service time,service efficiency,and user feedback mechanism;In the service mode,a variety of service methods are investigated under the classification of real-time and non-real-time service;At the same time,the WeChat platform is used as an example to research the service platform,thus collected the circumstance of the digital reference service which was conducted by "double-first-class"library of university on the WeChat platform.According to the results of the survey,summarized the problems existing in the three dimensions of the research objects,and then specifically proposed specific measures for improving the service capabilities,optimizing the service method,and integrating the service platform.
