In recent years,due to the constraints of economic underdevelopment and deteriorating natural environment,the ethnic minority areas in China have caused some obstacles in information reception and cultural dissemination,resulting in digital divides and other disparities.With the help of China's national policy of vigorously developing old and young border areas,the situation of information reception and cultural dissemination in ethnic minority areas has been significantly improved.The Nan-Muyuan Village of Li-jJahe Township,XuanEn County,Enshi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture was selected as a field survey object because it is a minority village with typical characteristics in a remote mountainous area.Through research methods such as field surveys,literature collection methods,and oral history,we will learn about the prevalence and use of media in specific ethnic minority areas,and examine the impact of media change on social,economic,and cultural development in ethnic minority areas.It also seeks to discover the impact of media use and change on life in TuJia villages and raises the importance and imperative of rural media literacy training.The first part of this paper briefly summarizes the research on rural media society related issues,and explains the significance of rural media literacy research,sorts out the results of domestic and foreign related research,and lists the research methods used.The second part examines the information communication environment of Nan-Muyuan Village from the physical and geographical environment of Nan-Muyuan Village,historical evolution,cultural education and medical conditions,material living conditions,political and economic conditions,and the ownership of media.From the analysis of fire pits,television and mobile phones,the oral communication and interpersonal communication of rural society to the era of mass media in television,and the changes that have taken place in today's highly popular mobile phones.The characteristics of the investigation of the use of media in Nan-Muyuan Village were detailed,and the interview cases were described in detail.Finally,the impact of media use was analyzed in terms of cognition and life.The third part proposes the concept of media literacy and proposes the importance of cultivating rural media literacy.Finally,the study finds that today's ethnic minority villages are in a state of mixed development with different forms of media,and the use of media has permeated all aspects of life.It calls on relevant departments to cultivate rural media people as a guiding force for media use,and to increase Media literacy in ethnic minority areas in China provides new ways and methods.
