Research On University Libraries' Participation In Academic Publishing Business Strategies

Publishing is the embodiment of the development of human civilization.From the age of farming to now,the publishing industry has made great contributions to human civilization.Publishing can be divided into three categories: mass publishing,educational publishing and academic publishing,among which academic publishing is the inevitable outcome of the progress of human civilization and contributes to the inheritance of human wisdom and civilization.Academic publishing is inseparable from colleges and universities,where academic activities are relatively concentrated.As an important part of colleges and universities,the university library is also the logistic support organization of these academic activities,which can provide a vast amount of library resources for scientific researchers to read and refer to.Therefore,the university library should take promoting Academic exchange as its duty,try its best to improve the level of information service,and participate in actively and implement independent publishing in the field of academic publishing.With the rapid development of digital technology,there are new opportunities for academic publishing,along with many challenges.Based on the knowledge of library science,news science,publishing science,management science and so on,this paper studies the management strategy of university library participating in academic publishing.This paper summarizes the current research situation of academic publishing at home and abroad,analyzes the practical cases of foreign libraries' participation in academic publishing,and probes into the problems and difficulties faced by academic publishing in China at the present stage.This paper clarifies the role and advantages of university libraries in the field of academic publishing,and analyzes on how university libraries make use of their own advantages and participate in academic publishing activities,improve the ability and quality of academic publishing,and help academic publishing get out of its current predicament.The research on the participation of university libraries in academic publishing can enhance the academic publishing environment in China,improve the coverage of the knowledge sharing of scientific research results,and prevent the publishing monopoly of academic achievements.At the same time,it also avoids the small audience of academic publishing in society and the high cost of the author,which promotes the concentration of high-level talents and knowledge.
