Research On Opportunities And Challenges Of Open Access To Academic Book Publishing In China

Open access is a new way of knowledge acquisition,which is different from the previous subscription model and is not a pure free model.The open access model is a new attempt by the public to make knowledge available for free reading and downloading.The open access of academic journals has developed more mature in foreign countries,but the development effect is not significant in China.The open access of academic books is the development trend of the global academic circle and the publishing circle.Under this world tide,it is necessary for China to join the open access of academic books.China's academic publishing industry is in a period of vigorous development.With the development of digital publishing,emerging technological changes and open access movement,academic publishing is bound to present a new trend in the future.This paper focuses on the open access of academic books and discusses the opportunities and challenges of open access to academic publishing.We should see in the near future that our country's academic books are open access.At that time,China's academic publishing will also have new changes.The open access of journals has become increasingly mature in foreign countries.The open access of journals to academic books has developed rapidly in foreign countries.China's current open access of journals is developing.In view of the open access of academic books and the bottlenecks encountered in the implementation process in large countries such as Europe and the United States,this paper proposes opportunities and challenges for China's academic publishing,and puts forward Suggestions for these problems.The opportunities of open access to academic books for academic publishing in China are mainly considered from the following aspects: free access to knowledge,the development of new media reading,the promotion of traditional academic evaluation system and the promotion of academic book publishing;The author will discuss the challenge of academic books to academic publishing in China from the following aspects: the rights and interests of authors and publishing houses are damaged,the original knowledge evaluation system is changed,and the development of academic publishing is hindered.At the end of the paper,the author puts forward his own Suggestions on the problems of interests damage,capital shortage,sustainable development of business model and lack of legal guarantee.It is hoped that this paper can provide some reference value for the open access of academic books in China.
