In recent years,as the Internet is deeply embedded in social life,senior people are becoming the main force in the Internet.Due to the convenience,richness and interactivity of new media,they have become one of the main ways for senior people to obtain health information.At present,there are many new types of domestic media.The vast amount of health information they provide contains some incorrect and unscientific information.At the same time,the aging phenomenon of our country is very serious.The use of new media health information by senior people has received more and more attention.Our choice of Zhengzhou City as a research site is intended to enhance the practical significance of the study and its practical value.In this study,senior people aged 60 or higher in Zhengzhou City are selected as the survey subjects.Through questionnaires and in-depth interviews,this study summarizes the characteristics of the senior people who participate in the survey.We has described the users' health status and analyzed the motives,behaviors and needs of using the new media health information by the senior people.Thus,we have further discovered several factors that affect the senior's use of new media health information,derived research findings and recommendations and further supplemented the research on the health communication of new media in China's senior people.The study has found that in Zhengzhou,the proportion of senior people who use new media health information is not large.They are mainly young people aged 60-65.Women have a slight advantage.They are all concerned about their own health.Moreover,senior people with higher education history use new media health information for a longer time,while senior people with lower education history use it more frequently.The application of smart phones has highlighted its advantages.WeChat and website has become their preferred methods of obtaining access,but most senior people still prefer to obtain health information through traditional media.The biggest motivation for senior people to use new media health information is to obtain information.And,in the process of use,their needs have been met with varying degrees of satisfaction.There is a certain correlation between the motivation,behavior and demand satisfaction of the senior people.Finally,on the basis of the foregoing analysis,this paper puts forward suggestions for optimizing the communication model,strengthening supervision and management and improving media literacy.We believe that in the future,the use of new media health information by senior people will have broader development prospects and will become a new development market.
