With the progress in protecting intangible cultural heritage and practice,it has been found that that intangible cultural heritage is an important part of China's outstanding traditional culture.Owing to the influence of pop music and Western music,traditional opera culture is no longer the mainstream art of today's society,many precious traditional cultures,as a result,are faced with unprecedented survival crisis.As the earliest traditional opera culture in the world,Peking opera should be protected and inherited,therefore,it is urgent to save and protect the folk culture of China.The Ministry of Education has absorbed Beijing Opera into the music curriculum in primary and secondary schools to promote our country's traditional music culture,in this way,the students will love Beijing opera,understand this art form,promote and develop China's traditional music culture,thus to better inherit the national culture.According to a survey of primary and secondary schools in Hohhot,as the only school in the minority areas to introduce Peking Opera into classroom,problems are also found in the Third Middle School.Practical issues needed to be solved including the attention degree of the school,the level of teachers,the methods variance in different teachers and the acceptance of students.With the classroom teaching of Beijing Opera of the Third Middle School in Hohhot as object of research,therefore,the paper took the ethnomusicology as research method to comprehensively analyze the classroom teaching of Beijing Opera based on questionnaires to students,parents and teachers,thus to explore the difficulties in promotion of Peking Opera in minority areas,explore effective teaching strategies and try to putforward specific strategies and feasible suggestions.Based on case study of specific school,it can provide direct reference for other schools,so that the Beijing Opera will develop faster under more comprehensively protection,and the traditional culture will be inherited in minority areas.Currently,there are many studies on the classroom teaching strategies of Beijing Opera,but they only focus on the schools.By now,no study has concerned about the inheritance of Beijing Opera education in primary and secondary schools in minority areas.Therefore,the paper studied the inheritance of Beijing Opera in minority areas,hoping to do my bit for the protection and inheritance of Peking Opera and to pass on this precious human cultural heritage to later generations.
